As a PM in today’s life, you often have to make critical decisions that will put you on a spot.

Sometimes we (PM) will often have to make quick decisions, when under pressure and often with little information and no input from the stakeholders, as often they aren’t available when needed.

Here we have highlighted details that will make your life a bit easier when making that quick decisions as a PM.

Look at the need

  • Your duty is to plan, make sure what needs to be handled today and move on.

Check for people nearby that can give you advice or input on making that decision.

  • No matter what, remember that you are the project manager and that your duty is to be in charge. If a decision needs to be made and you are the only one available, then you will have to make it.
  • Be confident in whatever decision you make, display that confidents and go ahead with yoru decision.
  • If you must take some time to think and evaluate the decision but make it and move forward.
  • If you have found out that you have made the wrong decision or it wasn’t the best decision that you have made, you will learn from it.
